Project Manager for the EU Agency AMLA in Frankfurt am Main – Interim/Zeitarbeit
We are looking for a Project Manager (M/F/D) for a multinational client in Frankfurt/Main, the EU Agency Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism AMLA – several positions.
Client:
- The Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) is a decentralised EU agency that coordinates national authorities to ensure the correct and consistent application of EU rules. The aim of the EU Authority is to transform the anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) supervision in the EU and enhance cooperation among financial intelligence units (FIUs).
- At the AMLA you can become part of an international and multicultural team presently in its set-up phase.
Main tasks:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of up to two projects within the AMLA Supervisory Programme, ensuring achievement of objectives, milestones, deliverables and timelines.
- Establish and implement project management methodologies, governance frameworks, standards, templates and processes to support effective project delivery across AMLA.
- Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables and resource plans.
- Provide expert advice and support to AMLA units on project initiation, planning, scope definition, resource allocation, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate project activities across AMLA units and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment, collaboration and timely delivery of outputs.
- Monitor project progress, risks, issues, dependencies and critical deadlines, proposing mitigation measures and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Organise, facilitate and chair project meetings, steering committees and governance forums, ensuring effective follow-up of decisions and actions.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, governance papers, decision logs and escalation reports for programme governance bodies and senior management.
- Establish and maintain project reporting, monitoring and oversight processes to ensure consistency, quality and transparency across projects.
- Review project documentation and deliverables to ensure compliance with agreed standards, governance requirements and quality expectations.
- Support stakeholder engagement, change management and communication activities associated with project delivery and organisational transformation initiatives.
- Deliver training, guidance and coaching to project managers, project owners and business stakeholders on project management methodologies, tools and good practices.
- Develop and maintain project management guidance materials, templates and training resources, ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer and continuous capability development.
- Contribute to programme-wide planning, reporting, governance and PMO maturity initiatives to strengthen AMLA’s project management capabilities and operating model.
Qualifications:
Degree
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years in PMO
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing PMO structures, governance, and methodologies.
- Proven track record of delivering project management frameworks or transformation programs in complex environments.
- Experience training, coaching, or mentoring non-PM professionals.
- Prior experience with methodology design (templates, playbooks, governance documents).
IT Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 ecosystem:
- MS Word (templates, formatting standards)
- MS Excel (tracking tools, logs, dashboards)
- MS PowerPoint (training decks, governance documentation)
- MS Teams (collaboration, workshops)
- MS Planner / Project / other PM tools
- SharePoint Online (PMO documentation structure, repositories)
Ability to create structured templates, process diagrams, and workflows using:
- Visio / Miro / Lucidchart or equivalent
Comfortable working with digital collaboration tools.
Language Skills:
English is the standard working language and therefore a C1 level is required.

- Ability to translate complex PM concepts into simple, practical tools and guidance.
- High level of self-organization and autonomy.

Remuneration:
- Above market level salary
- German interim employment contract (Zeitarbeitsvertrag/Arbeitnehmerüberlassung)
