We are looking for a Data Analyst Support (M/F/D) for a multinational client in Frankfurt/Main, the EU Agency Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism AMLA.
Client:
- The Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) is a decentralised EU agency that coordinates national authorities to ensure the correct and consistent application of EU rules. The aim of the EU Authority is to transform the anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) supervision in the EU and enhance cooperation among financial intelligence units (FIUs).
- At the AMLA you can become part of an international and multicultural team presently in its set-up phase.
Main tasks:
- Support the processing of data in the context of data collections regarding the eligibility of obliged entities as well as the risk assessment for testing/calibration purposes and the selection of entities for AMLA’s direct supervision.
- Cross-check reported data against external data sources pertaining entities’ group structures, including ORBIS, to support the entity matching and verification of group structures.Support the team in comparing (and possibly validate) internal data using external data sources.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and statistical analyses. Explain decisions taken and data-quality issues and their implications on the underlying data.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data management requirements.
Qualifications:
- Degree
Professional Experience:
- At least 3 years of data analysis experience.
- Previous experience in data analysis, reporting, statistics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
IT Skills:
- Excellent command of MS Office (especially Excel) applications as well as of Python and/or R. Ideally knowledge in VBA would be helpful
- TEAMS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for dashboard creation, reporting, and data visualisation.
- Experience with data extraction, cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques.
- Understanding of data protection and information security principles.
Language Skills:
- English is the standard working language and therefore a C1 level is required

- Experience in data analysis (outlier detection, regression analysis, multivariate analysis) and reporting in the financial sector.
- Ability to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets.
- Knowledge of database concepts and data management principles.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear recommendations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organise work and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive information
Remuneration:
- Above market level salary
- German interim employment contract (Zeitarbeitsvertrag/Arbeitnehmerüberlassung)
