We are looking for a Senior Windows Operating Systems Engineer to work remotely for a multinational client located in The Hague/Munich.
Start-date: ASAP
Location: 100% Offsite
- Tasks:
• Perform the activities in a DevOps and Agile delivery model.
• Show flexibility in adapting to changing requirements.
• Supporting various implementation projects.
- Required skills
Certifications:
• Must have: Microsoft role-based certification(s) related to Windows Server, System Centre and Azure.
• Ideally: Accreditation for other Cloud Services (Microsoft, Google, AWS…).
- Technological Stack:
• Education/Experience: IT Engineer with 5-10 years of experience who is able to deliver the below requirements with a high degree of customer focus.
• Windows Server: Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, Clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy, Disaster Recovery, Security, Updating, Application deployment and maintenance.
• Hyper-V: In-depth knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technology, including creating and managing virtual machines, live migration, storage, security, and networking.
• Azure: Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure AD, Azure VMs, Azure storage, Azure networking, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM templates).
• PowerShell: Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell scripting for Windows Server and Azure.
• Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP networking principles, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
• Cloud Concepts: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues within Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Azure environments.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) to document procedures, collaborate with colleagues, and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
